Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 20, 2026
Éclat Pureté ("we", "us", or "our") is a residential cleaning company based in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada. We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of the personal information you entrust to us.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website or submit a quote request, how we use and protect that information, and what rights you have with respect to it. We operate in compliance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario privacy legislation.
By submitting a quote request through our website, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect personal information only when you voluntarily submit our quote request form. The information you provide may include:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Property type (condominium, house, or other)
- Package or service interest
- Approximate property size
- Preferred service frequency
- Any additional notes or special requirements you choose to share
We do not maintain a client database. Information submitted through our quote request form is delivered directly to our team via encrypted email. We do not collect payment information, and we do not create user accounts.
Our web server may automatically record standard access log data, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, the pages you visit, and the date and time of your visit. This data is used exclusively for server security, diagnostics, and technical administration — not for identifying individual users or tracking behaviour.
2. Purpose of Collection
We collect personal information for the following limited purposes:
- To respond to your quote request and prepare a personalized service proposal
- To contact you by phone or email regarding your inquiry and, if applicable, confirm and schedule a cleaning visit
- To manage your service arrangement — including booking coordination, service reminders, follow-ups, and any changes to your scheduled visits
- To communicate about your service on an ongoing basis if you become a client, including order confirmations, service updates, and post-visit correspondence
In short, the information you provide is used to reach you and to manage the services you have requested or engaged us to perform. We do not use your information for unsolicited marketing, automated profiling, or any purpose beyond what is reasonably necessary to fulfill your request and deliver our services.
3. Consent
Under PIPEDA, we collect and use personal information only with your knowledge and consent. Consent is provided voluntarily when you submit our quote request form.
You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us through our website's quote request form and indicating your withdrawal in the Additional Notes field. Please note that withdrawal of consent will not affect any service already rendered, and may limit our ability to respond to your inquiry or provide ongoing service.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties for commercial purposes. We do not share your information with marketing partners.
Your information may be transmitted to and processed by the following types of third-party service providers strictly as necessary for us to operate:
- Email service provider (SMTP): Quote request submissions are delivered to our team via a third-party email transmission service. This provider processes your submission data solely to facilitate delivery and does not retain or use it for its own purposes.
- Web hosting provider: Our website is hosted on infrastructure that may retain standard server access logs as described in Section 1.
We may disclose personal information without consent only where required or permitted by applicable law — for example, in response to a valid court order, subpoena, or regulatory request.
5. Google Fonts
Our website uses Google Fonts, a typography service provided by Google LLC. When you load a page on our website, your browser makes a direct request to Google's servers to retrieve font files. This request may transmit your IP address and browser information to Google. We do not control Google's data practices.
Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy. Google Fonts does not use this font-loading connection to set cookies or track your activity across websites. For information about Google Analytics cookies we use separately, see Section 6.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies — small text files stored on your device by your browser — to support essential website functionality and to improve your experience. We do not use cookies for behavioural advertising, and we do not share cookie data with advertising networks.
Types of Cookies We Use
Essential / Session Cookies
We use session cookies to maintain the state of your current visit. These cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function and are created automatically when you use our site. They expire when you close your browser and are never used to track you across other websites. Examples include cookies that remember your progress through a multi-step form or maintain a secure session if you are logged into our client portal.
Authentication Cookies
If you create an account or log into our self-service client portal, authentication cookies are used to identify your session and keep you securely signed in. These cookies are required for account-based features to function and are deleted when you sign out or after a defined period of inactivity.
Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors interact with our website — including which pages are visited most often, how long visitors stay, and how they navigate the site. This information is aggregated and used solely to improve our website and the services we offer.
Google Analytics sets cookies on your device (such as _ga and _gid)
that collect data including your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited.
We have enabled IP anonymization so that your full IP address is not stored by Google.
Google may use this data in accordance with its own privacy policy, available at
policies.google.com/privacy.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Managing Cookies
You may configure your browser to block or delete cookies at any time. Please note that disabling essential or authentication cookies will impair or prevent core website functionality, including account sign-in and the self-service portal. Analytics cookies can be disabled without affecting your ability to use the site.
Most browsers provide cookie management settings under their Privacy or Security options. Refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law:
- Inquiries that do not result in a service arrangement: Retained for no longer than twelve (12) months from the date of your initial submission, after which it is permanently deleted.
- Active or former clients: Client information is retained for a minimum of seven (7) years from the date of last service, as required for tax, accounting, and legal compliance purposes under Ontario and federal law.
- Server access logs: Typically retained for 30 to 90 days for security and diagnostic purposes, then deleted.
8. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:
- HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our website
- Server-side input validation and anti-forgery protections on our quote request form
- Encrypted email transmission for delivery of quote submissions
- Access to received submissions limited to authorized personnel only
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. In the event of a privacy breach that poses a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada in accordance with PIPEDA breach reporting requirements.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Request that inaccurate or incomplete information be corrected
- Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention obligations)
- Withdraw consent to the collection or use of your information at any time
- Be informed of what personal information we hold and how it is used
To exercise any of these rights, please submit a request through our quote request form on the home page, noting your request clearly in the Additional Notes field. We will acknowledge your request within five (5) business days and provide a full response within thirty (30) days.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on access or deletion requests to ensure we do not disclose or delete another individual's information.
10. Children's Privacy
Our services and website are intended exclusively for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information through our website, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal obligations. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
Continued use of our website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. Material changes will be communicated through a prominent notice on our website.
12. Questions and Complaints
If you have questions, concerns, or complaints about our privacy practices, please contact us through the quote request form on our home page and indicate your privacy inquiry in the Additional Notes field. We take all privacy concerns seriously and will respond promptly.
If you are not satisfied with our response, or if you believe we have not handled your personal information in accordance with PIPEDA, you have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada:
